Everybody wants to make more money. That is a straight fact. The keyword "home business" is one of the top 5 most searched terms on Google. So which company out of the millions should you choose?
Well take it from somebody who has tried them all. MLM is good if you want to make an extra $500 per month and talk to LOTS of broke people. Affiliate marketing can work but you have to be extremely knowledgeable about websites, niche marketing, etc which can take a very long time. Direct Sales is the only industry that has consistently made me over $300,000 per year with less than 6 hours invested per day.
The key to being successful in Direct Sales is finding the right fit for you. In this article I will review three of the most successful Direct Sales companies. After reading this article you should be able to pick one that resonates with your core values.
Emerald Passport International has been around for about 4 years and has been reasonably successful. Their marketing is attractive as they supply their associates with a "movie" on their website which gives a brief overview of their company. Their products are all educational ranging from FOREX trading to personal development. Their base level product costs $1500 followed up by two upper level conferences that cost $8000 and $13,000. Their conferences have remained a bit of a mystery as they are always held in Panama. Content of the conferences have been primarily personal development speakers. EPI's attraction is their marketing movie which they claim screens out the uninterested prospects before you speak to them. The downsides are that everybody has the same movie which creates a bit of saturation in marketing. Another potential concern is the fact that they are based in Panama which keeps them out of the reach of authorities for refunds etc. Some people like the downloadeable products where others feel $1500 is too much for a "non physical, tangible" product. Emerald Passport uses a 2-up compensation plan where your first two sales are given directly to your sponsor. You make money on your third sale.
Liberty League International has been around for five years and has been quite successful. Their marketing is based around a conference call system. LLI associates generate leads and then try to funnel them to the call and then follow up looking for a decision. The energy on the call and their corporate websites are very "sexy" and lifestyle driven. Their products are 100% personal development. Their packaging is great. Their compensation plan is also a 2-up meaning you pass up your first two sales.
Their products are $1500, $8000, and $13000 with commissions of $1000, $5000, and $8000 for qualified reps. The downside to LLI is that their products can be a tough sell. The common argument is "Why would I spend $1500 on a personal development course when I can buy 5 Anthony Robbins books for $150 at Chapters? Another issue people have is the website and conference calls are so focused on "hyping people up" that many people come off the calls asking "What are we selling?" LLI is based in Arizona, so no issues with refunds, although some bad apples have caused them quite a few complaints online.
Wealth Masters International has been around for 2.5 years and has grown twice as fast as Emerald Passport did. Their marketing system is based around an information packed website consisting of videos, audio, product pictures, and testimonials. Most consumes will contact the associate after reviewing the information at their leisure. WMI's products are all financial oriented ranging from tax recovery to estate planning. Their conferences are extremely unique as the owner used to work as a VP on Wall Street and has connections to many of the world's top financial investment strategists.
These alliances are introduced at the conferences allowing many average people to get investments usually reserved for the ultra-wealthy. Some these include private placements, IPO's, and Real Estate Investment Trusts. WMI' s products are $1500, $8500 , and $13,000 with commissions of up to $1000, $5000, and $8000. WMI does not use a 2-up compensation plan. Their reps make money on the first sale with the advisor making a residual income on every product sold. This is a one level deep residual income plan. Many people prefer this to the 2-up as the advisor is always rewarded for assisting the associate and the associate can make money right away. It is also the only Direct Sales company with true residual income meaning you do not have to start over every month. The only possible downside to WMI is they lack a little sexiness but they attract a higher level prospect due to their product line and content.
